It is a priority at In2print to reduce our impact on the environment, recognising a responsibility to our customers, employees and the wider community that we live in. We have adopted responsible practices that minimise our environmental footprint, while continuing to produce print products of the very highest quality.
In2print has achieved certification by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC) and ISO 14001 standards, demonstrating our commitment to the environment. These certifications involve a detailed accreditation process, which incorporates tracking and recording the possession and transfer of wood and fibre from the forest and through all stages of production. Where practicable, all paper is sourced from sustainable forests.
We are currently working towards PAS2060 certification – aiming to become completely carbon neutral in our print production. This will enable us to offer carbon neutral printing to our customers, through the use of carbon offsets.
Some of the steps we’ve taken to invest and implement our environmental policy include:
- Using only environmentally friendly, vegetable based inks
- Adopting water based solvents
- Printing on sustainable, renewable and chlorine-free paper wherever possible
- Printing on 100% recycled paper, according to our clients’ needs
- Using 100% chemical-free, plate-to-press process
- Recycling all waste paper and board
- Responsible disposal of waste chemicals and inks
- Laundering press rags
- Organising delivery schedules to reduce our carbon footprint

In2print is proud to work in accordance with PEFC labelling procedures. PEFC labelling assists us in procuring responsibly, and highlighting our ethical business behavior. It also allows you as consumers to make informed and responsible purchasing decisions.
What is PEFC?
The PEFC logo and labels are globally trusted trademarks. They assist businesses, consumers, forest owners and managers, and other stakeholders to identify and promote merchandise and goods from forests that are managed sustainably.
PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. Thanks to its eco-label, customers and consumers are able to identify products from sustainable managed forests.
What is PEFC Chain of Custody Certification?
In order to provide assurances that wood and wood-based products originate from sustainably managed forests, PEFC promotes Chain of Custody (CoC) certification.
CoC certification outlines requirements for tracking certified material from the forest to the final project, to ensure that the wood contained in the product or product line originates from certified forests.
PEFC CoC certification is essential for:
- companies to implement and demonstrate ethical business behaviour, and
- consumers to make responsible purchasing decisions.
For a product to qualify for certification, all entities along the supply chain must possess a PEFC Chain of Custody certificate. Only then are companies eligible to use the PEFC label on their products and in product marketing to highlight the responsible sourcing of the raw material.
In2print is externally audited to ensure compliance with FSC® certification requirements, marking the fact that we operate with due regard to responsible forestry management and sourcing.
Established in 1993 in response to concerns over global deforestation, FSC® is a pioneer forum where the global consensus on responsible forest management convenes. Through a democratic process the FSC® implements solutions to the pressures facing the world’s forests and forest-dependent communities.
FSC® certification is a voluntary, market-based tool that supports responsible forest management worldwide. FSC® certified forest products are verified from the forest of origin through the supply chain. The FSC® label ensures that the forest products used are from responsibly harvested and verified sources.
The FSC® Principles and Criteria (P&C) describe how forests can be managed to meet the social, economic, ecological, cultural and spiritual needs of present and future generations. Developed through a strong, multi-stakeholder process, they include managerial aspects as well as environmental and social requirements.
Three core activities support the FSC® P&C to be implemented in forests worldwide through FSC® certification:
- Standards Setting
- Accreditation Program
- Trademark Assurance
FSC® certification provides a mechanism for companies, organisations, and communities to demonstrate their commitment to the FSC® Principles and Criteria for responsible forest management and be part of the FSC® solution.
We set ourselves high standards in customer satisfaction, achieved by championing excellent quality management, and in ensuring that our business has a minimal impact on the environment.
To this end, we’ve achieved compliance with the environmental and quality standards set out in ISO14001 and ISO9001.

What is ISO14001?
ISO 14001 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to help organisations:
(a) minimise how their operations and processes negatively affect the environment (i.e. cause adverse changes to air, water, or land);
(b) comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements, and
(c) continually improve
What is ISO 9001?
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses.
It applies to the processes that create and control the products and services an organisation supplies, and prescribes systematic control of activities to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met.
ISO 9001 is designed and intended to apply to virtually any product or service, made by any process anywhere in the world.
We use these stringent sets of standards as a framework for our business and aim to comply with, or exceed, their requirements.
